A PLACE TO BE HEARD AND UNDERSTOOD

Welcome to Hope Counselling Services

Therapist in Ashford, Kent, and Online

Hello and Welcome

My name is Katrina and I am a fully qualified, BACP registered therapist in Ashford, Kent, offering face to face, or online sessions.

I specialise in addictions of all kinds, burnout, anxiety and depression, ADHD, OCD, bereavement and loss, identity issues. I also work with young people from 12 years old and upwards, including those undergoing exam stress, bullying and family breakup. I am also a clinical supervisor, life coach and Christian counsellor.

I understand that sometimes the stresses of life become too much, and at times like these you need a space to be listened to. My private home studio, set in a tranquil rural setting with beautiful views, is a confidential, welcoming place where you can talk freely about the issues that are weighing you down.

You might be nervous coming to therapy for the first time, but don’t fear! I am a friendly, empathetic therapist who works with you in a down-to-earth way and always maintains a sense of humour, making sure you feel comfortable and heard at all times.

If you are looking for an integrative and holistic approach offering CBT, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, TA, CFT, in Ashford, Kent, or online, feel free to get in touch and ask any questions you may have.

Making the decision to see a counsellor is a big step to take - but it can be a positive one. Please read on to find out more about how I could help you.

Initial Session

Our first session is a 60-minute assessment, during which you will have the chance to walk me through the issues you are facing, how they are affecting your life, and get an understanding of how I work as a therapist. A risk assessment is a part of this process. If you are actively suicidal, you will be directed to a specialist service elsewhere.

Ahead of this initial session, feel free to give me a call or email to ask any important questions you might have prior to scheduling an appointment.

My Location

My private home practice is situated in the pretty Ashford village of Great Chart. Upon arriving at my home, you will be led down to a beautiful, secluded little lodge house at the bottom of my garden, which is surrounded on all sides by lush fields and horses and donkeys.

It is a very peaceful, natural space – perfect for someone who feels weighed down by stress and would benefit from spending an hour each week in a calm, confidential location where they can explore the issues that are negatively affecting their life. Think of it as your own personal sanctuary!

Following our initial assessment, sessions are 50 minutes long.
